Say if you had a smaller turbo running the same power as me it would produce similar torque to hp for example but a lot more boost pressure required. That's the nature of a turbo/engine.
This is why rally/touring cars 'only'have 300hp but nearly 500lbs ft torque as they use a restrictor and run mega boost pressure.
I don't mind not having as much torque but having a wider power band, this makes the transition from off boost to on boost much smoother thus putting less strain on tyres/transmission.

I don,t think we should start looking at wrc cars etc ,as they using things normal mortals cold not afford ,or keep up with the replacment costs.
they don,t complain about fitting 2k + of turbo every event and they run water injection ,anti lag and allsorts of expensive ecu controlled complicants.
they only run to very low rpms as well and they are larger capacity engines.
how many saxo,s are even running std VNT type turbo,s --non that i know of -mainly ,I am guessing because of the electronics required to control them ,
that would be the right thing to do to get a smooth controllable power delivery ,

thanks danny....ive been trying to find out what my clutch was rated too! (i have the same as you but re lined by cg motorsport)
i think my mani/downpipe, and small turbo high boost has achieved the torque figures i have, as mine is around 230lbft aswel... was wondering how much more im looking at before i end up needing a new clutch!
i never knew yours was running that danny....still i would love 250atws

you can acctually use throttle bodies, a charger and a super charger all together but your bill would be hugeee! however it would be immense

Depends on lots of factors, such as combustion efficiency, calibration exhaust design, turbine design.
Typically OEMs control to lambda 1 or ETG pre-turbine of 950oC (although this temp is increasing with higher temperature rated turbine materials, I have seen a recent OEM turbo rated to 1050oC)
That said, manifold surface temperature can creep above the egt value.
