i put my deflectors in first and gave them a good wiggle to see if there was much give in them. (needed new ones cause was driving down the motorway and one came off ) so i fitted the clips as a precaution as they were a little bit loose, but not massively.

If you put them in as per the instruction you will find they are hard to remove.

Im sure mine had sticky strips that you peeled off and then that aids as a glue.

Clips are a pain in the ass. Don't bother with 'em!

I've read that they're a pain but I put mine in just in case. You put the clips in where the double sided sticky tape is. It pushes the tape against the window seal to help bond the two.
