Smile Looking for decent springs and shocks to drop a 1.1 30mm

Hi folks,

Just as the title suggests I need suggestions on the best springs and shocks I can get for around £100 for a 30mm drop, don't want to go any lower. This is for a 5dr 1.1 desire. Been looking at different websites, on ebay and the like and don't really have any idea of what a decent set is so need some direction please.

thanks in advance,
Sam

(p.s. also looking for a dummy shock that will help lower the rear beam by 30mm.)

I could be totally talking out of my ass here, but I'm pretty sure to lower the rear end you just need to do a torsion bar adjustment to each side to get the desired ride height.
There's a guide here, but I'm not sure if it's premium members only.

The weight of the vehicle isn't changing, so your shocks should still be correct for the application, though obviously their operating range will be different.

Yes mate that's right, I thought i may as well replace the shocks whilst i'm doing it, plus i'd rather have ones that are suited to operating when the vehicle is lowered compared to the standard (probrably 16 year old) shocks.

Yes the rear you can just lower. There are plenty of good kits you can get out there with updated dampers and lowering springs for the front.

Kamracing has 35mm Apex kit which can be a good option for needs.
