With the amount of bandwidth that sax-p already consumes I doubt that live chat would make much difference (bandwidth is already massive).
This idea has come up a couple of times in the past, and while it may reduce the number of useless posts there's also the risk that useful information from the chat sessions may be lost (whereas forum posts are recorded and there for all to see).
Live chat is what Microsoft Messenger and the rest were invented for (and they do a much better job than a website could IMO).
Saxperience has grown in popularity because of it's quality content provided by an active membership (you get real answers to your questions here) and I think forums are a better way forward for everyone in the long run.
