thought the film was surprisingly alrite, i think it could have quite easily been 30mins longer without being any worse, it just went straight to the point.

when there was a hole in the glass why didnt he throw the grenade through that, then hide in the hutch with the kid and women, and how did the women escape with the kid when there was hundddddddddreds of them night walkers heading to the house.

it just seemed to get to one point then jump from it to the next to much

not a bad film tbh. like most people said, shorter than expected but its the first film ive watched in a while where it hasnt dragged on.

but the ending did sort of confuse me. how they bird and her son could stay in that little hole but he couldnt? and also how they would go about releasing the cure. there was a sample of blood but it still made no sense, did they inject all the safe people so they would be come immune or go out and kindly ask the vampires if they can inject them with it?

and also how that random dummy called fred found himself in the middle of nowhere?

1) the part where smith said the dark seekers were losing all human functioning was the total opposite of reality.
They were actually growing smarter, hence that dude coming and shouting out at him when he caught the lady dark seeker.

This could be because they were together and smith pissed off that main bloke by kid napping his missus.

Also notice he got caught by the EXACT same type of trap that he caught the bird with...... and the dark seekers knew he went to the DVD shop now and again and he didnt cover his scent/track with that liquid shizzle. Hence he went mad and shot all the surrounding buildings believing he was being watched.

2) They could escape because he would have blown them up, and they boy and woman would be hidden until day, when the dark seekers werent to be seen.

3) He HAD to cause a decoy so they could be safe and transport the anti virus - and so he (SUPERMAN) and the male main dark seeker (kryptonite) had it on with a grenade fight. Also thus the story being HIS (SMiths) Legend.

4) It was only an anti virus and would not make people immune from becoming a dark seeker, just cure them once they caught infection.

5) They could mass produce the anti-virus in the hidden colony. They would be safe as the woman previously mentioned said the virus didnot survive the cold.

but you still leave a few questions unanswered.

2, surely if they saw the bird and kid hide in that hole then the remaining dark seekers would have just waited till day light (as they would still be safe as they were underground with no UV) theres no way that measley grenade took out all those 'dark seekers'

and

4, so your saying that they still had to stay in that little colony. surely once some one is infected the last thing they want to do is sit still and have an injection, more so rip your face off. Also so your saying that the dark seekers still roamed all the citys however places like vermont that were cold could be habitable by normal folk?

Lol! Sorry didnt mean to leave them unanswered chap, just got engrossed in the explanation of others.

The remaining dark seekers were outside the house, coming towards it. There was only so many that could fit in the the lab (basement)

The lab was so confined that the blast of that grenade would've hit everything in it, which may not of killed them but it certainly killed the main one, the brains, behind the assault. Also Im not entirely positive but that hole in the wall may have been a tunnel ..... I cant remember so I'd need to watch it again.

If that doesnt convince you (it is hazy, granted) then all I can say is to believe in the fact that the woman believed in God, and believed she came and saved smith at the precise time and place for a reason (through a message or something from God)

Then, as time dwindled, the infected body began to humanise (as you see) and Smiths believes her in the end, that she had been brought to him for a reason, and the reason was to collect the cure.

Funny how he spends 3 yrs searching/testing for an anti virus and bam, he finds it when this random woman shows up, preaching she was told to go there.

Also, did you see when the dog got infected? The virus needs and incubation period, it did not instantly turn into a dark seeker, rather over time (guess about an hour?) - Within this time the anti virus can SAFELY be administered
- if not theres always the secured lab table!

About the cold. Did you catch the part when the woman was explaining her belief, and she said that the virus didnt survive the cold? This means the AIRBORNE virus wouldnt have affected normal humans, however it could still be transmitted through cut/wound - blood transmission. This would have taken place when the dark seekers became hungry and went searching for people to eat.
