Default 1 big scratch

After realising they could not break into my car yobs decided to scratch rght down the side....all across. Now its only slight (nail doesnt get caught in it at all) how much would it cost too get polished out by a shop with a machine they use?? and is this possible?? thanks

Yes it is possible to get it polished out, but it all depends on how deep your paint is, for how much paint they have to work with, plus it myt work out cheaper to get the panels sprayed, could range from anywhere to £30-£150

Just ring around some bosyshops mate, although most will ask to see the car

use your finger nail and if it snags over the scratch then chances are its to deep mate and wont polish out

however there are places that can do it without painting the whole panels, tbh it doesnt cost that much to get the resprayed, do all the prep work yourself to keep costs down

nail doesnt get caught at all in any part of scratch. as said really light

In that case. The likelyhood is that it WILL polish out. Pricewise from a professional detailer, you're looking at about £20 an hour It may require a bit of wetsanding depending on the severity of it.

But you should be able to get it taken out. If the car has never been machine polished before, you should have a healthy amount of clearcoat to play with.

You're probably looking at 2-3 hours work including getting it prepp'd up, etc.

I would have a go at it with ag paint renovator myself before paying a pro to do it.
