Lens for Canon 30D...
Need a lens for canon 30D im buying next week!
Dont want to be paying mega bucks for it, but want one for pictures of cars etc and scenery.
One that will produce some good shots!

you want wide then if doing landscape/cars.
sigma 10-20 might be a good shot, or something around 17-35/40

cheapest option is a kit lens.
Best option is decent glass.
You buy cheap you end up wanting decent glass soon after.

Elliot, I suggest you get a cheaper body and then have more for a decent lens. no point having a semi decent body if you're going to put shitty glass in front of it

he is getting a 30d for under £300, well under i hope.
better of getting that than spending £350 on a 450d with a kitlens.

Or better off buying a very cheap 350/20D and getting decent glass.
GLASS is the most important thing espec as most people wont even use a 9 point Focus system lol

yes i agree i only ever use centre AF, BUT £260 for a 30d is a well worth while investment.
he will not need to upgrade for a long time.

£260 is indeed a bargain, if i saw one for that Id get it today as my back up body.
however the 30D is atleast 2 years old now so can have had a hell of alot of shutter use aswell.

better aedit that incase i ever sell it
no it was from ebay, totaly mint, not a mark on it, even on the flash shoe. so i guess not alot of use, needed a good clean tho.
