Well all the stuff has now arrived, apart from a few wires but should be here tomorrow
Started the false floor cutting last week using a cardboard template to get a nice fit, then went to lay it out, and the box just about fits (phewwww) its about the right size for the alpine sub im using so all good, bought a mono alpine mrd m605 amp to power the sub too always loved these amps and totally digital amp settings
Carpet options are a pain, the one i need doesnt come big enough and id have to break the floor up into pieces which i dont want to do so the carpet ive choose isnt an exact match but will have to do for now until i decide to wither cut the floor up into two sections or to make a sub box into the wheel well using fibreglass that all depends on how long i keep the car, go for an Evo or go for a rotrex supercharger on the R hmmmmmmmmm decisions
Anyway heres a few pictures, work has to be subsided for now as ive pulled tendons in my foot so in soooo much pain right now
Obviously another piece of mdf over the amps and cut around the sub box is to go in and also the floor battons to go in, its going to look pretty OEM apart from the box, bigger than expected but its about the right size for this sub to perform to its full potential

lol it does but however i still love evos, all depends on my job front in next few years though, but is different charged R32 they go like stink and sound lush
Well wasnt happy with carpet so bought the closest match to the boot carpet and got about 3 metres of this carpet, apparently is a 99% match
Should be enough to trim the floor in two parts and retrim the sub box for a nice OEM finish making me a happy guy

Right go to this link then go to page 3 for the dual 4ohm subs example number 4 will show you how to wire up one amplifier to two subs
http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchf...500SWR1021.PDF
as for a box you can either make one up or but a dual type box, best to use rockford fosgates woofer box wizard if your going to make one yourself
as for an amp you should be looking at getting a mono amp with at least 200 RMS at 4 ohms heres a few one ebay or you could buy the alpine mrd m605 what i have, i got mine second hand for 90 delivered there are a few on ebay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-MRD...item3f13384488
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-MRD...item4ab3968ebf
And the amp i have
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-MRD...item3f13327f70
these should be all good enough to power two of your subs when wired in how it says on the pdf manual

Well not much happening
but i decided to retrim my sub box i wanst too happy with the original carpet on it already
On the ends i toyed with a few ideas
Alcantara
Black faux leather
But decided to just do all the same carpet as i am trying to keep it oem looking
Before
After
Ill be spending a full day on her tomorrow cutting the top part of the false floor around the sub box so it is sunk in, and will probablies try and get it finished in the boot then there is just front components to fit and to lay a few wires and its all done, hopeful during next week itll be done
