just bought a charged vtr
heres the spec
GMC supercharger conversion
Rotrex c30-74 charger
Omega Low Comp Pistons
Upgraded Rods
ARP head bolts
12 row oil cooler
Front Mount Intercooler/rad combo
Samco boost pipes
Header Tank
440cc 5th injector
MF2 fuel controler
DASTEK ECU
GMC BTB Exhaust manifold
Full Stainless exhaust with de cat
Helix 4 plate paddle clutch (falling to bits lol)
Willwood midlite 4 pots (for sale with new pads in box)
also got included in the purchase a s1 20cb90 box, only selects 3,4 gear but im sure the final drive will come in handy.
im convinced theres a quaife in the box thats on the car. its too controlled for 200bhp, eats my ITB vts alive! goes like stink
plan is to build a new 16v engine with uprated pistons only 7,500 rpm limit
refit the kit along with 4 new 490cc injectors rather than the dastek/mf2 & 5th injector.
rather than the 7psi boost id go for 10psi as an increase to later then raise to 15psi when i have a B.E series box, diff etc...
pictures to be updated etc later.

Told you boost is win
It's only when you drive one you can almost appreciate how fast they are.
Plans sound good anyway stew

I'm fully aware lol
But what I was saying wasn't in that context. It was in relation to vtr's.. No one could appreciate how fast a charged Saxo/106 is intill they have drove/been in one.
When you have as much power as some of the other lads then they would even make your impreza feel slow(ish) unless it has well over 400hp.

roughtly half way between 300-400 lol proven 309bhp but i increased boost another 2psi and added a true 3" exhaust rather than the 2.5" is had with 309brake. blitzed a 12.65 at elvington
and yeah i kind of expected the sc car to be quick but need to sit in one really

just wanted to add that the vtr was built early 2006, has only done 13k never been tracked (so im told).
does not sound like your average vtr, even on idle you can hear the charger, tickle the throttle and you get what sounds like a jet engine followed by a rattlesnake lol

Impreza will always be good on the 1/4mile as you know buy on track there's no standing starts so the impreza's 4wd advantage is considerably less.
The vtr looks good. Needs a clean lol but apart from that looks like its got all the right bits.
Love the rattlesnake noise the rotrex's make

Well at least you know it runs good..
You thinkin of jus whacking this engine in the track car for a bit to get some use out of it? I would.
Compare your lap times to what it was doing on bodies. I'd be v interested to see the results
