Polishing and waxing
I resprayed my meshed grill and chevrons the other day. Havn't put it back on the car yet as i was waiting for the lacquer to harden. Id like to protect it from stone chips and the usual stuff so was wondering how soon can i polish and wax it to protect it? Cheers.

leave it approx 3 days before you do anything with it, and then just give it a good few coats of your desired wax/polish.
obviously the more layers the more protection and the longer it will last

it wont stop chips, but it will certainly help prevent them rather than just bare paint/laquer.

A stone chip hitting the paintwork at tens of miles an hour is going to chip the paint regardless of how many layers of wax you apply...

you would be da boss man of de wax init!
All seriousness if you painted the grill in aerosol i wouldnt bother fitting it if your worried about stone chips as it will chip a hell of a lot worse than "hard" 2k paints.
