AS50 sniper w/ acog scope is by far the best gun

Lv27 with it, and my second highest is the Riot Shield haha!

Its not all about K/D spread. I could camp and rack up a huge K/D spread, sometimes you need to move to recon for your team-mates. The team I play in sometimes, won 20/23 games of HC Team Tactical. Because it is a TEAM game.

The maps are crap. Full and cluttered. Spawn points are still dodgy as ever. They haven't got rid of the side swipe knifing.

If you're in a confined area and need to run past a team mate, you can't.. It used to push them back a bit but i trust blocks you now.

Battlefield is miles better. Mw3 is just the same as any other cod.

Just finished campaign although it still says 50% complete! Is this due to intel packs etc?
Been playing online for 2 days and I'm level 29, favourite gun so far is UMP45 with rapid fire and a silencer. I've got Assasin on too so I generally go the opposite way to the rest of my team and flank the bastards. Nobody see's or hears me coming so it's quite effective.

Trying to get to grips with the sniper atm, any maps you'd suggest? I've had a few headshots etc but need a sniper friendly map ideally.

There's one that's got a bit of distance to it, but I don't know the name. One of the African village ones...

Yeah the African Village is the only place I've been able to use it so far. No doubt they'll bring out a few more DLC's with sniper friendly maps but doubt I'll be paying for that.

You need to take time and aim, maybe practice on special ops.

Thats generally the rule of thumb, team goes one way, i flank the other. Get assassin pro, blind eye, silenced guns, and you'll never appear on the map

Trying to get to grips with the sniper atm, any maps you'd suggest? I've had a few headshots etc but need a sniper friendly map ideally.

Try using the L118A, by far the best sniper, aims from straight up, so easy to quickscope, I sometimes hardscope (look through scope for long periods) but good maps would be:
Seatown- from the house in the middle, or upper house of the map, with a balcony, which gives you views of two sides of the map.
Dome- Down stairs in bunker, aim up, great place for domination.
Arkaden- Under the stairs at main building, there is a burger joint, behind the counter, can snipe all the way down
Bakaara- From inside helicopter, snipe upwards of the map. Alternatively, building on the right of the helicopter, stairs leading up to the building, can see straight across the middle
Bootleg- Under the pipe bit, from behind the concrete block
Carbon- from the top of the map, go down to the left, take the small path leading off, through the crate, and you can snipe basically the whole of the bottom of the map, make sure to crouch
Lockdown- A lot of areas
Fallen- House with the triangle bits on the roof, building to the south of the map, two windows, or between gap in north building, or building to the east of the map
Interchange- From under the bridge, a lot of places

Became bored as you can tell from writing these.

Other maps have sights but not much experience on them as i decide to use the M4A1 on those

Why do people use ACOG on snipers? :|. That's putting an less accurate scope on a gun that had an accurate scope.

lol mate are you seriously boasting about being level 62 in COD?!

But I would agree with your other point - On xbox it's all about stats which is fucking queer. I top the assists every single game at the moment, getting 5 - 6+ (which should be kills and would be on hardcore). Plus I'm getting used to shitty controller instead of keyboard and mouse. Think my KD is 1.0 at the mo.

I got annoyed exactly for that, so I started playing HC TDM and HC Team Tactical. S&D gives you shit points now, it used to be 500 a kill, its the same as TDM- 100.

But 4 assists= 1 kill, Hardline pro 2 assists= 1 kill

So use support streak

Don't like Acog, or any scope tbh. I like to be able to see my surroundings and I'm always worried that if I'm looking down my scope someone can creep up and knife me without me seeing him!

Btw saxologist thanks for the map info. I'll be a geek and print it off for tonight.

Yeah, thats the problem with all sights really, but if you can, use bouncing betty, or claymore ay 56 iirc, to cover you arse.

If you're in a team,m then they should have you covered by the flanks.

No problems about the spots, but you can usually tell where high traffic area's are, just need a secluded spot off to the side, to snipe across, for example, in fallen, on the roof with the triangles, you can go prone top of stairs, and have sights over bombs site B, or access to the majority of the west side of the map.
