Well bearing in mind that GTA 5 isn't actually out yet I'd imagine this is a rumour of pure fiction - or - if there is some substance to it then Rockstar will structure the game in such a way that you're not having to constantly swap discs back & forth each time you enter a new district?

Iirc, when I installed La Noire I still had to change discs. I could be wrong though.

As far as I can tell from stuff I've seen on the net it sounds like Spring 2013 release date? The past 2-3 GTA's have all come out in October so they've missed the usual schedule this year.

As far as I'm aware even when you install discs onto the console you will still need to change discs to verify that you actually have the disc
|

I installed Forza 4 to put less wear on the disc drive (mines on silly hrs some days) and i was hoping you could leave the disc out perm but its a no.  disc has to go in still.
(i dont put disk 2 back in each time though, just disk 1)
meh, bottled it.

I never had to change discs with Forza 4, just installed them both to H/D then I just left disc 1 in the xbox and everything worked spot on...
cant imagine them making you change disc all the time, unless you only have a small H/D and cant install it

You guys may be right then. Same I install the games I will play a lot to hdd to save the fucking racket the DVD drive makes

The top of mine rattles slightly when the disc first spins for a few secs.. sometimes i think im in my Saxo

same as really, game of my childhood finally gets the ps3 title it deserve's.
i remember missing a few lessons at school once because a mate vice city on order.
only game i dont seem to get bored of, gt5 lasted a few months, other than that, the likes of duke nukem, red dead, dirt, dead island etc lasted about a week.
i got liberty city stories last week as it was cheap at asda, already completey the ballad of gay tony, lol. just really cannot get bored, dont know, just get hooked. lol

I think some people have misunderstood how multi-disc games work.
Forza 4 - Disk 1 is the game. Disc 2 is just added content. That's why you never have to use disc 2 again. It works the same as DLC.
With GTA, unless they allow you to install disc 2 AND 3 then you will have to change disc while playing. Problem here is HDD space. That's 14GB right there.
I have no idea how they'd implement 3 discs.
