Sub not working
Just spent 2 hours in the snow wiring in my sub thinking it will all be worth it in the end.
After completing the wiring, i turned the key and heard nothing but my door speakers. My sub is showing no sign of life.
Power lead is connected to the + terminal, cable if grounded in the back under the seat, to bare metal (paint sanded away).
RCA's are all connected.
The only place i think it could be wrong is in the remote turn on? I have connected it to a spare lead that was coming out the back of my radio, it was blue and white so i assumed it was the remote turn on? It says 'P Lead' on one side of the label, but 'Ant lead' on the other... Ill post a pic below.
But if anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated because i spent £130 on this sub and its fair to say i'm pretty pissed off!

Does the amp have any lights on?
Is the speaker cable connected to the speaker?

Connecting your remote to 'Ant Cont' wont do anything
Needs to be the solid blue wire or similar (refer to manual)
See, fuck all
http://www.caraudio.com/forums/wirin...-ant-cont.html
the 'P Cont' on the other hand...
Cut it, strip it back, strip your remote wire, attach all together, put in choc block. I crimped, not sure your expertise level though

All the RCA ports are connected to the amp and headunit and i dont think the amp has any lights to show wether it is on or not.. so its hard to tell if it is actually getting any power

Connect that blue Remote cable from your head unit to your sub and it should spring into life

see edited post,
If you miss it, cut the 'P cont'
Strip it back 0.5cm (both ends)
Put one end in choc block, side from HU into otherside, along with the remote.
can crimp for neatness
(Dont forget to strip remote as well (twist the end so its easier to work with)

Well best way is to get some shrink tubing and solder the wires together, or you can bodge it and electrical tape it up?

That one then, if its not used for anything, make sure the 'P Cont' is showing while you put it in

I already have it hooked up to the P-cont/Ant -cont (they are the same lead) and its showing no sign of life at all.
Recon im best just to try adding it to the other blue and white wire shown in the pic feeding in to the actual radio?

Gotta think of it this way.
Sub needs power - 12 Volt feed to battery terminal.
Sub needs music - RCA cables to head unit.
Sub needs to know when to turn on - Connect the blue remote wire in the head unit to the sub.
If the sub don't work then you need to make sure they are connected correctly. Have you blown a fuse?

Why did you try the other blue?
When installing did you spark? Check all fuses including the stereo one under the glove box, inline fuse in your amp power cable and fuse at the amp
Have you tested you are getting power at the amp end on both the live and remote turn on?

Got the stero back on but sub still not working, i have triple checked Earth, power cable, they are all in nice and tight, just put the remote on back onto the cable shown in the pictures above.
I have no way to test if the sub is getting power.

Have you checked all the fuses? If all connected correctly like you say could be a blown amp?

Its literally brand new today so i should hope the amp isn't blown! And i have no replacement fuses to check if it is blown?
I've gone over everything so many times to check everything is in place there is just no reason for it to not be working?
