questions on cat d bumpers

My cars a cat d mk2 vtr. The front and back bumper are orange peels and been painted black.. can I replace this with original bumpers? Has it had orange peel bumpers for a reason ither than cost? Thanks

all standard bumpers are interchangeable.

What do you mean by orange peel bumpers?
You mean the paint has a orange peel effect? If so, that's just a crap paint job.

Do you mean the texture on the bump strip? That can be smoothed down and re painted or just buy some colour coded ones?

hey thanks for the replies, the texture is orange peel, I was wondering if because the front and back bumpers was replaced with orange peel it may have been because there was damage done and original ones would not fit? if I am able to swap them il get new bumpers. thanks
