Opting for the colour of the roof wrap he did on this ferrari it's a matt satin black, will run thru colours though maybe with a hint of grey in it or something...

Very on that ferrari anyway.

If it was closer to summer i'd be tempted to get it detailed but will hold off on that for now, seems a proper nice chap with a great set-up

Matt, give us a PM when you head up to Teesside, it's about 5 minutes from my house! Can hear it if I open my window.

Teeside?

PW is in Mansfield around my routes mate or are there two PW's?

OR

Is this a theory? That he may move and in theory could move to Teeside? Theoritically?

Should look good, does the wrap weigh much?

Ahh Shall do, won't be doing all 7 tracks, doing one initially to test the water and then if I get on with it probably do 5 out of the 7.

Tyre walls i'm ok with, some form of magnetic field that draws me into armco though

I wouldn't be wrapping a car that you track dude!

My VTS is covered in allsorts and it moves about 1/3 the speed your evo will!

Only wrapping the roof and spoiler blade, should be out of harms way however I was tempted to wrap the the bonnet pending photoshop mock ups. Might be worth reconsidering that with all the marks it could pick up in such a location as you say.

Having said that It's not going to get absolutely terrorised on track once every month is the max it will do and I'll only be entering sprints which should reduce wear and tear on the paintwork/wrap as I won't have a car in front pinging stones and debris at me.

oh, I thought it was the entire car!

Even my roof is normally covered in rubber, just a heads up!

Noo although I would love to do the whole car in a dark grey the same Colour as Yates's Evo was. Fortunately a lot less debris involved with sprinting and no car ahead to chuck muck all over you.

Thanks to Grum for a photoshop I put in the requests section, gives an idea of what I'm planning to get done, hard to gauge the exact colour but a matt/satin black for roof/spoiler blade and maybe bonnet. Along with wheels powder coated a very dark anthracite or a dark matt black/grey..

I think it looks better with bonnet wrapped personally...

Personally, if it was me, I'd do the roof, blade & mirrors.

I think the bonnet looks too much. If anything, a carbon bonnet! obviously we all know carbon isn't cheap, but wrapping on a light colored car I think the bonnet will make it look cheap. It's down to taste though, doesn't help the photo shops aren't amaze might look awesome in reality!

I was going to do mirrors also but there more hassle than there worth to wrap and get the desired finish so would probably have them powder coated a similar colour if I was to do so.

I was going to buy a carbon rear blade and can get a bonnet for an affordable price however neither actually save a great deal of weight. I'm not a massive fan of carbon now it seems to have been done an awful lot and think the wrap on that ferrari better suits what i'm after.

I wouldn't want to wrap the bonnet if people thought I was doing it to skimp out, reality is I really wouldn't like to chop my roof out to replace it with carbon and a mix and match of carbon and matt wrap may look odd?

And I refuse to have parts carbon wrapped as that is sheer fakery imo.

It's a really hard thing to show in photoshop, just stumbled across this.... think it will work well with the matt...

OR

maybe I'm trying to hard and should just powder coat the wheels, give it a good detail and stop wasting money needlessly. I think it would look well though...

I was wondering if you're looking to make changes just for the sake of making changes like... Can't see the pic, but I would change the wheel colour, and leave it as is after that because it looks well otherwise.

Pic has been sorted now, wheels are being powder coated no matter what just need to decide on anthracite or an alternative darker matt grey/black wheel colour

The good thing with the wrap is it can always be removed which is why i'm opting for wrap. if it doesn't look as anticipated. I Just have in my mind it would work well.

Maybe go ahead with roof and spoiler blade, see how it looks in the flesh and either remove it, leave it or get the bonnet done.
