Agree with everyone else. Matt black looks shit. It looks cheap and nasty.
Wrapping is an excellent alternative to paint but at least find a decent colour to make it worth it.

It's not going to be matt black, i'm more into the matt greys however I had in mind something along the lines of this. It's a colour the later evo's come in but possibly get it in a matt finish.....

Definitely not 'smoking' or 'tinting' lights or windows, or at least don't plan to!
Also not doing the sprint series now no mate, I did a track day in the evo with a few other evo lads and my AYC pump went KAPUT which cost me a few hundred quid to fix plus a new set of tyres and brake discs/pads. It put into context how expensive a venture something like the sprint series might be.
I'm not passionate or competitive enough about it to commit to ploughing the amount of money into it as it would cost. If I had A LOT more disposable income then maybe but I think it's best to enjoy it on the quiet country lanes for now and not kick it's head in around a track once a month.
Plus on top of all that, whilst I had A LOT of fun, I was worried all day about 'binning it' or whatever repairs i'd have to make to the car etc.
FINALLY
Joe get over the fact I crashed it, it's a learning curve. I'd gone from an underpowered fwd french tin (like you still drive) to a high performance awd car.
When the car went arse out I wrongly tried to correct the skid as I would from my experience of driving fwd cars. I soon learned you can't do that with a car with AYC. It defies all you have learnt. I made a mistake and i paid the price of getting it fixed... lesson learnt!
Plus the guy in the van is due to appear in court soon

Please dont do any Matt colour at all. THey look great in photos but look utterly rubbish in real life, particaularly with a couple of days grime over it it just looks really poorly taken care of.
Anyway thats my 2p worth, do what you like!

Not seen in the flesh only on photo's, worth knowing!
May just opt for the Eisen Grey evo colour as above, I fancy something darker either way if Matt is a bit of bad option.

That evo above looks WAYYYYY better, if you get that colour in a metallic / gloss wrap I'd do that, it'll look far better than the matte version!

Matt,
Go up to PWPro to see Paul and Reiss and have a flick through the available options. Theyve just done a sprint Evo7 in pearl white that ended up looking good.
The above grey is my fave though by far!

Car is in for a service this weekend:
-Gearbox, Diff, Ayc Oils
-Engine Oil & Filter
-Spark Plugs
-Give Apexi Air Filter a clean
-Give the underside a bit of a gentle wash down to get rid of surface salt etc. whilst it's on the 4 post ramp. As it's on the road throughout winter.
-Will need 4 x New Tyres soon, but these will hold out till Spring/Summer.
Not sure I have updated the 2 services I have done since last January as TBH i've just enjoyed the car as it is and tried not to let it become a money pit for shit I'll get bored with, don't need or which will run the car into the ground. (Hence not much progress or updates)
Just keeping it well serviced and maintained and I have other priorities really
Flew thru it's MOT a couple of months back with no advisories
ANYWAY....
Gone for some Millers NT Competition Fully Synthetic this time, I use millers for all the oils but haven't used the NT Engine oil stuff as I didn't know it existed.
This Stuff (Ordered from Opie Oils Today)
Also got something very cheeky that i'm going to part own with a work colleague, It should be ready for collection in March .

Got the engine oil and filter delivered to work today.
Unfortunately my additional 1 litre bottle I bought for topping up had a minor leak, only lost 100ml but phoned Opie Oils to let them know and they have sent me another 1l out and told me to keep the one I have, so slight bonus.
I have some left over from my last service to so i might flush out the oil with a couple litres or so seeing as I have plenty spare now.

The old saying less = more springs to mind.
I wish I hadn't modded my cars, especially the ST. It's fun when you want that noise but brrr sometimes it's nice to keep it stock. That modding bug is a bitccccch.
Updated pics needed dude

Tell me about it!!
Pulled by the plod this morning after launching from a set of lights (I was in the wrong lane and needed to get across.)
I accidentally on purpose launched it resulting in this...

Fortunately got let off, likely because no camera and no copper with him but seemed a nice guy nonetheless.
