Icelle blue Evo 6
Finally bought myself an evo! Been dreaming of owning a 6 for about 2 years now! Its in really good condition, nice and clean underneath. Sure it has the usual stonechips etc, but its really good for 15years old. Id rather have one thats not completely mint anyway, so you dont have to feel scared of getting stonechips! I love the colour of it, will look brilliant with a good polish and wax.
Its a fantastic spec!
Full custom built exhaust system including the manifold
255 fuel pump
remapped by GR performance
Uprated clutch
ap racing calipers all round, 6 pots up front and 4 pots on the back
eibach springs
18" turinis
Probably plenty more!
Has 2 powergraphs that came with it, one says 372bhp atf, and the other says 356bhp atf with 334lbft. The 356 one has a nice smooth curve though, whereas the other had a little flat spot on it.
Not got anything planned for it really, need to sort the leaky rocker cover and the car park dent in the door. Its pretty much had everything done that I would have done to it anyway. Just to enjoy it when its on the road next spring!

Always fancied one, but the thought of that electronic transfer box exploding & being left with a £5-6k rebuild cost has always put me off

Under warranty, hardly the real world of a 20 year old Evo 6 is it
I never had any issues with my Evo 8 which is still running 600+ bhp to this day. I kicked that things head in every day

Clearly talking out of my arse then, it would be around 10 years ago (no idea which generation) had some form of electronic centre diff with multiple settings, had to go back into Mitsi twice in under 2 years for extensive rebuilds, maybe he just got a bad one, but they were talking big numbers if you would have had to pay. Just know it has put me off them, just like several other marques

The AYC then, which had 3 settings of tarmac, gravel and snow. When all three lights come on you have a problem, could be as simple as a fluid flush for 100 quid or a new unit for 700 quid (from a specialist, which Mitsu dealer 'mechanics' are not). Luckily mine only required a fluid flush in all its time, even the 6 speed box and FQ diff took the power for a good year before being changed for RS items
