Police Interceptors VW
Anybody see this last night?
Long story short, a car is targeted by police due to the fact it's modified. First of all the car is apparently a "VW Golf GTi 180". Well, it's a VW Polo. The officer believes it is on "Height adjustable coilover suspension that can be raised at the touch of a button" Wait, what?
Not only that, the camera man shows that car parked up completely aired out, and then shows the car driving off with the officer saying "He's driving away and he hasn't adjusted the suspension" What?! The car was laying frame and you think he can drive away? Not only that but you can clearly see arch gap which wasn't there when parked up!
When he pulls the driver over, he uses paint on the wheels as evidence that the car is driven too low. But the arches scrape the wheels when aired out!
How is it that a Police Traffic officer can be so clueless yet still be allowed to do the job he is doing?!

Pretty sure the world of modifying is not priority for the police tbh. There are many things I wouldn't understand still.

They're traffic officers. Traffic offences are their main area. They should know the law on this kind of thing. All traffic cars in Lincoln are unmarked and run an FX** *** number plate.

The floor/suspension components are laying on the floor with the airbags supporting about 80% of the weight.
If he was to attempt to drive like that, it'd either spin the wheels or there'd be sparks everywhere!

It's sceneish for 'my car is so low that major chassis components are in contact with the surface of the road'

Lol that polo is awful. You can't blame the police - it looks like the wheel is about to come off!

I think the real question here is why do you have a hippo on top of your TV?

Saw this, love it at the end when the officer says something along the lines of "He tried to deceive me by raising the suspension when I stopped him, but I know what i'm talking about when it comes to cars" - haha

Hahaha I saw this and thought, hmm traffic officers need to get schooled on cars... you can tell from half a mile away thats a polo..and height adjustable coilovers that are adjustable at the press of a button? That guy just through some words together, and didnt have a clue. Made me mad this, theres pedos and rapists, car thiefs and cars going up and down the country packrd to the brim with drugs and he spends 2 nights eyeballing a modified car to pull it and give him a telling off...proper waste of time and money.. go catch a real traffic offender, daft mug.

I think it's pretty horrendous that they spent their time targeting this bloke.
Yes its ludicrous, yes it looks mad.. but stop insulting the car and think about how dangerous it actually is?
The bloke has clearly spent a mint on this so it's not had corners cut and it's far from dangerous. when parked up the arch is in contact with the rim, when driving the suspension is raised away from being in contact with the arches / tyres and it's safe.
He know's it's adjustable, and it's not like the car is there to be driven with care, not like a dangerous driver.
Go spend tax payers money on catching criminals, not wasting time on enthusiasts driving perfectly safely.

In actual fact, I have no fucking idea. It's the missus that put it there!
In all seriousness, in one shot you can actually see the Odeon cinema that the officer refers to. That Cinema has a back entrance with a broken fire door. In side the door is a corridor full of drug users and used needles The needles are even hanging from the ceiling in an attempt to harm people that go in there.
What the police should be doing is dealing with those scum bags. Not stake outs with modified car owners!

Yes the car is very low and yes at high speed it would be very dangerous but I'm pretty sure having modified his car like that, the guy loves his car so he isn't gonna be doing anything near dangerous speeds in it because he won't wanna damage it?

To be fair there's lots of assumptions that the car is looked after etc but your assuming certain things based on the look of the car. The policepig is also assuming things based on the car just in another manner.
I think its stupid that he sat there and actually said he knows the car is height adjustable yet he's going to try and catch the driver out :s
Why would you sit there hoping he does something wrong, if the law is supposed to help why didn't he sit close to the car, get out when the driver approached and give him a polite reminder to raise it to an acceptable height before he moves.
If the officer thinks the guys going to do something 'dangerous' and has a perfect opportunity to prevent that from happening why didn't he just do that. Screams out money making to me.
P.S the car looks stupid
