spl installs
im going to go for one of these 3 setups so what's going be the diffrence between these setups ie best sq, best street bass and best overall out of the 3
2 12" gt5's in a big ported box
Ascendant Audio Chaos 15 big ported box
SPL Dynamics XTR-380D4 big ported box
that il power off my JBL: GTO-1201.1 Mono Amp

I wouldn't go for either out of those 3 mate. If that was the choice id go for 2 x 12" or the SPL setup.
What size and power is the Ascendant setup dude?

well in that case: 2 of these subs.. will produce 1000watt RMS at 2ohms, your amp produces 1100w at 2ohms.. at theyre very high quality subs, i plan to get one myself and run it off the same amp you have

Deffo go with the ascendant audio 15" mate! Although it will require about 4cuft, which is basically the whole of the boot in a saxo!!
This would give you some awesome street bass! Especially if you tuned it nice and low, like 28hz.
Plus, with the extra cone area of the 15" sub its gonna be pushing a hell of a lot more air than a 12" hence more DB's!!!

Yes, ive heard one mate. It was a 12" havoc, about 1200rms iirc. It was powered by a powerbass amp, which was doing 1500rms. It sounded sweet tbh, and i was tempted myself! It was only running in 1.75cuft though, and it was tuned ridiculously high at about 55hz!!
I ended up with a soundstream tarantula, which im very pleased with!
EDIT : Mine in action, in a 1cuft shite prefaf box!!

The Problem with the AA is that it only comes in dual 2 which means you're gonna have to run it at 4 ohm. If you're looking for a sub that will give good output capabilities as well as good SQ i'd personally try a 12" over a 15" but if you fancy trying a 15" have a look at the FI Audio SSD 15 (retails for a touch over £200). It's a similar sub to the AA but comes in dual 1 which would allow you to run the 1201 at 2ohm and put 1.1kw through it.

Get like 4 GT4's or something! Only £100 posted!
Run 2 in series and 2 in parallel! I think that would show 1 ohm, then get something that will do 1kw rms @ 1 ohm and you have some serious bass and something a little different for silly money!

Sealed! 1.2 cuft each (ish)
4 of those sealed would only use about the same as a single 15".
