I've had it wired and tested and it all works, just need to solder everything together

I've got it working without the key so one switch is the ignition and one is the power feed to the ignition. Then the push button is obviously the starter. I will have the kill switch wired in to the ignition power wire and the battery once I get my cable etc from rallynuts.

I got the panel for about £15 om ebay, can't remember who from though.

What about the steering lock,will you still use the key in the original ignition to stop this from locking or have you got rid of that?

Sounds easy enough,I like the look of them panels and I've seem them on ebay as well,not bad for £15.

Yeah I'll be keeping the steering lock. So the ignition barrel is staying only for that purpose.

Yeah I'm quite handy with auto electrics so should be a breeze......but with that being said,the jobs that you always expect to be easy turn out to be a complete nightmare.

Finished the fuel lines tonight. Had a disagreement with the pipe bender and had to throw out a massive length. Luckily just had enough spare to finish it tonight.

can't use any of that without the car. However I have applied for my non race nat B so should see that at somepoint in January/February

That's a start, if you fancy doing Doune you could join the Lothian car club, you'll get a discount on the events.

Once you've got a licence you can do it online the following years if no info has changed.

At the British rounds (June/Sept) they also run a Nat B class so you can do them too.

Good work, at least you have a garage! I have a car port which is worse than nothing as you think "Oh, it'll be fine, I'm under cover!" Then the rain comes in at 45° and soaks you! Hehehehe.

Need to get some of those cable pulls for mine. Keep up the good work.

Haha I can imagine, but if the rains heavy enough it comes in to the garage through a gap at the bottom of the floor then soaks everything. It's a really old garage.

Regs. Fuel lines inside the car must be solid and coppers a million times cheaper than some AN -6

Ahh, didn't get to that bit yet. Mind you, hard to get any work done when the car is still 100 odd miles away. Soon as it's back i'll get them sorted. I never liked the way the fuel lines were run anyway so I can weld up a couple of holes and make some new ones. I never thought about copper to be honest, good idea!
