Default Cat Cams 1322705 on J4 bottom end and JP4 head clearance.

Hi, I've a JP4 head and J4 bottom end and I plan to use the standard C2 VTS head gasket size (0,6mm) to get the correct compression ratio and was interested in these cams that Kam Racing sells that are specifically made for this set up,has anybody got any experience with these? Is there any clearance issues between valves/pistons taking into account no significant head skimming? Thank you.

in all fairness when you actually research the jp4 head vs the j4 head the gains are so minimal its not even worth doing. yes the inlet valve is 1mm bigger but the port design of the j4 is supposed to be far better. I've also read that the j4 is the more aggressive and fun engine.

but to answer your question I can't imagine Catcams would design something for a specific engine set like that and make tolerances tight. personally id rather use the full jp4 engine or the full j4 engine then you get the piston design match the head properly
