Aside from Simo, who else has been a major influence in the Saxo scene?

Has there been any Modders that stand out as trend setters?

I like craig but dont see how his car was a trend setter tbh.

An exact copy of the 911 gt3RS colour scheme, and the bright wheels thing wasnt anything new.

In recent times its hard to be a trend setter, way back in the old days fitting 17s for the first time made people a trend setter. way back in the SST days.

I know what you mean, but he was the first person to style a Saxo that way, no? And a few people have copied him so it kind of makes him a trend setter in the Saxo world.

EDIT: didnt see ''bright wheels wasnt anything new'' part.

Bright wheels had done before, people on sax-p seem to forget people modifed saxos before 2007/8

Like I said, i get on with craig but I feel sax-p and the younger lot seem to forget where the scene came from and that 'turboing my sax' for example was done many moons ago, and 'is 300bhp achievable as i want to have the most power' when 350+ atw has also been done.

Like i say there are big cars now, but there were even bigger cars back even before simo set this club up.

A big one for me would be lee rushden/smooth pimp - modding a 1.5D with kit etc... when no one else would bother.

The saxo is dead... so no Influential Members.

Majority of things you could do to one were all done by 2006, so anything from then doesnt seem new

it is very had to be a trend setter now. especially with an old car like the saxo. mk1s have been around since 1996ish and mk 2s since about 1999, 2000ish so they have been around for a long time now. most fresh or new ideas have been done.

as for influential members there seem to be a alot of people who know there stuff on this forum. but im the same respect there are loads of idiots on this forum who think they know what they are talking about.

id like to say a big thanks to the helpfu people in the peformance section who have helped me and my friends out no end.

ill see if I have anything of the old 1.5D

It was a mk1 with shaved door handles, flip paint etc... He drove it everywhere, loads of shows a year, he lived and breathed saxos.

J222RA. Because of the massive care in detail paid to his car and also the thought put into each mod.

Also big cars were craig langleys XXXtreme car, XXXtreme started painting pretty much every car either bright green/orange or some form of ludacrous paint.

Rob convery iirc Green saxo which made it on top gear.

They were big cars, people copied them, they were different in their day

there still loads to be done to a saxo imo.

but with everyone being put done by "ohhhh it cant be done, ohhhh hope you got deep pockets" its puts people off.

I remember Lee Rushden's 1.5D. Was an awesome car in its day, but got slated when pics of it appeared on here a couple of years ago due to a change in trends etc.

Robs car was similarly awesome in its hayday. Infact, thats probably the car that made me want a saxo.

I used to like the look of the XXXtreme cars. Just a shame that the workmanship on most of them was shockingly poor
