saxo 1.1 clutch cable replacement
Evening ,
Just removed snapped cable from my sons 2001 Saxo, plastic attachement had snapped where connected to pedal. I have removed all old cable by disconnecting from gear box, cut threaded end off and pulled cable from inside of car (only this way I could remove old cable). I have spent over 2 hrs trying to feed back through bulk head without success. Looking at the replacement cable the diameter of the plastic clip which attaches to the pedal are of same diameter, but it is impossible to feed through from engine bay. Only solution I can think of is to emry cloth / file the plastic clip to be able to fit through the bulk head. Any informati8n much appreciated.

sounds like there may be a part of the old cable still in the way, or its the wrong type.

Thanks for reply, car is RHD and there are no old parts left after removal of old cable. The plastic end that locates over the pedal will not fit through the bulk head. Can someone confirm if there are different sizes to these? I'm going to sand down the diameter tomorrow to make fit. I will also check with dealer if sizes differ from each year.

i've had a look on servicebox and there's only one cable listed for a 1.1, 2150R0.
so you either have the wrong cable or there's something left in the hole.

I think confusion has come about because the cable end is really hard to push through the bulkhead/pedal box
