back seats dont weight that much so cant see how stripping it would make alot of difference??

It all adds up though, generally if you can get it out (and its not needed) then take it out. You'll be surprised how much it all adds up to

Spare tyre cage
Carpets (very heavy)
Sound deadening
Motors for electrics
Dash items
All adds up to a fair bit dude
