Actually I retract my statement. Lenses and flashes are more important than the body - £2k on a body, or £2k on a lens (or lenses).

Best photographer I personally know has a 350D but some very good glass (not as good as mine but hey ho he's much better than me). (no it isn't simo - sorry simo).

Even my 10D is still mint.

I think your siggy is ok Matt... I can imagine the Canon might make the siggy seem a bit naff (think of the price difference though, that and you've got to remember you're comparing the standard sigma to the sharpest zoom lens canon do), but I'd suggest making the most of what you've got and to do that you've got to start using the * for focusing and the shutter button itself for exposure. isolating the two from each other will help you massively. It's been standard for sayer for everything, nightclub, portrait, general fucking around for aaaaages now and I've never looked back - except when I give the camera to someone to take a pic and they take an out of focus mess.

and with that... my shitty french internet comes to an end so I'll reply tomorrow evening.

love.

sayer
