Awesome mate, hope you enjoy the read? It's been a long road over winter but now the good weather is coming and the chassis is nearly done there's light beginning to appear at the end of the tunnel

Having a 4 car garage built. Hopefully be able to offer more services with a bigger workshop. Also ramp, rollover spit etc for the bigger jobs.
Yeah let me know if you book anything mate.

The is looking really good!
Rust repair is a thankless task, but you should have a good solid shell once it's done!
Have you got much more to do once the repairs are done? Or will it just be putting it together?
When are you hoping to have it back on the road?

Thanks mate, yours is coming along nicely as well
It is a task alot of people overlook but definitely worth doing!
Once the repairs are finished Im picking the car up next Sunday (8th April) hopefully, then I've got to put everything back on, like front suspension, rear beam, brake lines, steering stuff, master cylinder, satshifter, all the interior back in etc etc.
I've got about 3 weeks to do all of that which takes me until the end of April which is when the new engine arrives, aiming to have it all done and on track mid-end of May

Thanks mate, target date is FCS, but I'd like to squeeze a track day in before fcs around the end of May/early June if possible.
The engine bay is now nearly finished, I think you'll agree Marks done an epic job
Scuttle extended while retaining the standard wiper motor
Holes filled in & smoothed over on the engine bay chassis legs..

he's using pug sport mounts. look same as oem ones but stiffer and need this plates welded in.
re you filler comment, all the holes are welded up, ground down and then a skim of filler is applied, no more then 0.5mm of filler anywhere if u look back a few pages you will see my metal working skilles.
also when i have a client come to me, they explain what the cars been built for and its specs, i would not use glaze (not bodie filler) if its going to crack ones the cleints spent there hard earned cash 2 weeks later. josh uses the car for track and runs 250+ spring so i would neva use filler for this reason but such a think layer of glaze will never crack... no offence but body work is a highly skilled job to do RIGHT, and it annoys me when people think its very easy job to get it spot on and make smart arse comments.
anyways engine bay had now been etch primed any impercection be sanded out and will be primed in the morning, thurs will bring underside painted.

Just to Answer Ash's question - they are group N pugsport mounts with a group A solid lower mount
I've run them for over 3 years now and think they are just about right, solid enough to reduce engine movement, without rattling my teeth out lol
Mark - I'm over the moon with how that has come out mate, absalutely brilliant mate
