Sorry, been looking into it.
thats good information

I dont want him to have a faster car than me lol

Oh yeah, that's a stage 1 map. There's 3 stages. But stage 2, for example, requires a different exhaust I think, and stage 3 requires an uprated intercooler, and turbo I think.

Book figures for a Leon FR150 (Uses the PD150 engine, and I cant see there being much in weight difference) is 8.6 to 60, so after a map, he's looking at being quicker than that, so chances are it'll be quicker than yours.

This is the Custom Code site.
http://www.custom-code.co.uk/index.p...d=20&Itemid=46

I got my description of each stage a bit wrong:

Ph 1. is for otherwise standard cars.
Ph 2.
Quote:
Owners of vehicles with Cold Air Intakes, Sports Exhaust Systems, Sports Cats, Nitrous Oxide, Water Injection, Aftermarket Cams or Hybrid Turbos should use this service.
Ph 3.
Quote:
If you have a Big Turbo Upgrade, After-Market Supercharger, or other major engine modifications, this is the map for you.

A true 440bhp
0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds
0-100 mph in 10.1 seconds
0-150 mph in 32 seconds
1/4 Mile in 13.1 seconds

There are other companies who do them as well, so there may be a Stage 4.

so there are three generic maps for assumed mods and cam duration? these stages are made up by companies marketing generic maps. there is no set "stages for mapping" my advice is stay well away from these kind of maps unless your car is bog standard.

live mapping, a session on an emulator and altering the map cell by cell is the only real way to map your car properly.

thanks for the stage info though. i was a wee bit curious as to what they were

Phase 1, is relatively generic (according to the site completely generic), although i've been told its also mapped slightly to the car, but considering its for an otherwise relatively standard car, it shouldn't matter too much.
Basically the info I've quoted is the requirements for each stage of mapping.
