vinyl player
looking at getting a vinyl player, complete noob when it comes to this, what else would i need apart from the turntable. do i need any sort of amp? and are speakers seperate?
please dont rip shit out of me lol
looking at getting a technic 1210 turntable

if you intend to DJ, yes otherwise no. The price on them recently shot up after they were discontinued. If you want some real sound quality get a Rega, a Project or something similar. You will need an amp that includes a phono pre-amp and a pair of speakers.

been looking at rega turntables. another noob question. the vinyls i have say 45rpm oon, but when looking at some of the turntables, they say 78rpm, would my 45rpms work on it?
its all jargon to me

it's perfectly ok. RPM stands for revolutions per minute and you get 33, 45 and 78. You probably won't see any 78 rpm records at all since that sort of speed was ditched almost a century ago (because it rotates faster you're losing playback time on the record. Hence the name LP -Long Play- for 33rpm records).
All turntables have a switch for each speed, nothing to worry about. Also, vinyls is not a word. The plural of vinyl, is vinyl.

finally got a record player.
just wondered if anyone could recommend a vinyl cleaner?
dads brought his out of cupboard, some need a clean. also he has some real rare gems, northern soul, a lot worth over £50!!

or you can just wash them: (do it with non-gem records)
