An E46 M3 alternator costs £500 before fitting apparently.... I've been told not to complain about any of the costs incurred in running a saxo from now. I'm relieved it didn't cost over £200 which was what I was expecting when the fcuker brokedown

It's not even that mate, it was 70mph all the way. I've yet to do an MPG adventure at 50-55mph (although it's pretty draining on time and concentration doing properly)

I'm a bit of a cockhead when it comes to mechanical sympathy that's all dude... basically
Fully Synthetic Oil
Use Super Unleaded
Check all easily accessible moving parts regularly
don't buy shite anything for a car
use good (and I MEAN good) tyres and pump them up to the correct pressure
Don't rag the car from cold (EVER)
only apply well proven modifications to the car
and that's it really!

No problem, look forward to hearing what the 'box is like if it gets done and if 4th-5th is as bad as Mankee said it'd be.

naaa it's about 500 rpm difference dude.... twill be all groovy.
Well I spoke to mankee at FCS and he said he could do a early gearbox as well now lol just I've ran out of money till the end of the month now... gayyy.
Funny I was thinking about posting an 'ideas update' on the car...
Guys... I'm throwing this out and hoping for some good input here... ignoring engine stuff, what exterior/interior mods could I do without going OTT?
Thanks

Exterior:
-de-badge
-10shit mirrors
-de-lock doors
That's subtle stuff imo
Interior depends, if you want full interior then black a,b and c pillar covers from a 106 and then spray headlining black? Just a thought..

I've delocked, deaerial (see above pic), debadged and degrilled it. 106 mirrors... no... great... how about smoked fogs?

Sayer car looks the tits how it is on the outside. Maybe some lovely new seats?
Would it be possible nearer the end of summer to have some pictures of my car taken for a fee?

Having looked at your car and studied it. Dont do anything more to the exterior. Looks tops.

You'll probably not agree Ads but I always felt that loosing the fogs completely looks very smart, fair bit of weight saved too.
106 mirrors do look better than the chunky Saxo mirrors. Two cheap but effective mods there, nothing lairy about either of them.

I know deep down you want some slight cosmetic changes, hence the thread title change/thread bump!

I personally think your car is perfect as it is now Sayer.
I'd concentrate on engine mods now and little bits on suspension, uprating stuff.

The suspension is fine I think... most of it is uprated bar the TorsionB, ARB's and ARB bushes, the ARB bushes are the one thing I do need - cheers for the reminder! lol
rushy cheers man... I think I'll keep the fogs, I never use them but it pains me massively if I have a control in my that'll activate nothing... same for dewipering. I had 106mirrors on the derv and actually pretty soon after buying them I craved the saxo mirrors back, but cheers for the suggestion though!
Picking up my cams later today... rave on.

I don't think 106 mirrors look that good from the inside personally, I prefer the Saxo mirrors.
You are like me with the dewiper, I'm leaving stuff like that on my car.
