New Laptop
Me and the Misses have, after 6 months of living together, finally decided that using only my phone to go on the internet has just got too annoying!
So we've decided to get a laptop. Am gonna go up the city this Sat to get one, but the question is which one?
We've got about 300 to 350 quid to get one. I dont know too much about computers. So basically whats the best laptop you can get for the money and where could you get it from?
Cheers.

Buying online will probably get you a much better spec for the price.
I'm not clued up on laptops at all so wouldn't even know what to suggest for you, sorry.
I would advise you to stay away from notebooks though, they are usually small over priced pieces of shite in comparison to say a 13/15" laptop.

Afaik, that will get you a generic PC World job or a base model Dell. I think PC world have a good spec'd one for £399.
I think there are shops on Tottenham Court road that will sell refurbed ones at discount prices and you could possibly get more off if you haggle.
Do a quick bit of research on processors to which is the newest. Then just try to get the biggest hard drive and RAM for your money. The only make I've heard bad things about really is Packard Bell.

Just to correct this he means netbooks, stay away from netbooks, not notebooks. notebook is just another word for laptop.
