Laptop speakers not working?

Laptop speakers are not working, only works if i plug a jack in the aux e.g external speakers/headphones?

Its a dell studio, checked most of the obvious stuff...
wondered if anyones had this problem before?

if nothing helps there maybe try audio driver update
