Tesco do some good ones for around 300-400 and normally give away some accessoriea with them, maybe look at one of the dell or acer laptops, both fine laptops!

I've had a samsung for 3 years now, used ever day and carted back and forth from uni etc.
had to replace the battery (which is annoying because the standard one weighed nothing) but then i expected that.
other than that i've never had an issue, it's always running a lot of software too.

Acer and ASUS have got some very well price core I3 laptops, I've had my Acer for over a year now and it never misses a beat, anyone who says they are crap are clearly mistreating their laptop in some way.
