What kind of scratching is this?

He use's the corssfader then the line faders, I've seen this done before but was wondering what it was called? Sounds pretty neat

Didn't know there was a name for it, maybe he's just using them because they cut in different to whatever curve setting he's got on the crossfader, if you get what I mean.
