I only noticed as I went to leave someone positive rep.

I think the old-style rep system has gone for good.
I think there are plans to introduce some other sort of system, along the lines of a "Thanks" or "Click if this was a good post" type of thing...
To be announced soon-ish, I believe.

Seen the "Thanks" thing in operation elsewhere - I think it could be better than rep:
The problem with rep was the abuse of it - it was so tit for tat!!!

I actually think that thanked system looks sh*t.
I personally think anything beneath your name looks out of place lol, but I don't think we need anything like this as it's pointless! Said it earlier too

I agree, i can still see people getting together in groups and abusing the 'thank you' system that is being proposed (if it comes into place). It would be like the reputation system all over again in a few months time.
As a general note IF we are going to have a replacement we need something like the points based level system that is allready in place. This system is really good because it takes the human element out of things and judges everyone on the same criteria. Other than that we could have a system in place which is enforced by the moderator's ? They are probably the only ones trustworthy enough not to abuse it. The only downside is they have their work cut out keeping things in check allready.
Tim

I was impressed with the effort you went to. If I could rep you, I would have
It's all being taken into consideration, but if I'm honest, Im not sure what the best answer is right NOW. I want to be rep-less for atleast a week before changing things.
Kind of like cold-turkey for some of the needie

Paul was Paul_CGM.
I'm not missing it at ALL. I think everything looks more simple now beneath the avatar and I think if you was to give a bad opinion you won't get bad repped for it lol.
It should stay like this tbh!
