Alternative Music venues down south
Well, just wondering if anyone knows of LIVE music venues down south that do punk/metal/ska/alt(-ish) kinda music? Thinking of cities like
Cardiff, Weston-Super Mare, Reading, Southampton etc. These are very Close together REALLY, just wondering if people know of any in those or other cities?

Nottingham is definitely the place to be. Rock City and Rescue Rooms are huge. In fact, Rock City is "officially" the UKs No1 Rock Venus as it says above the door.

If you're into you Rock/Alternative music then there is nowhere else to be on a Saturday night. Spent so so many nights in there and it never gets boring!

I'm into most music types, but mainly mod, ska (new and old), reggae and punk.
I'm going on the 16th of March to see The Selecter, can't wait.
Bit of a trek from Rotherham, so stopping at the premier inn round the corner.
Is it a club as well then?

Club every night after any gigs finish. Theres 3 rooms in Rock City so they'll often do gigs and clubs at the same time.
