Turbo and EGR system issues/compatibility
Just in random thinkmode, haven't bothered to sit down and figure it out properly yet...
Are there issues when it comes to turbo'ing say, the J4, and the EGR system?
Do saxo nerds tend to whip it off into the nearest bin when turbo'ing?

Most people bin the EGR even in mild state of tune ladyboy.
The old method people used to do was glue a coin over the hole left in the head

by mild, do you mean, non-turbo'd and just an induction kit or something? Never understood why tbh

It improves the economy though o' scruffy one. It's probably why I get 45 mpg whilst everyone gets about 5 or whatever, thinking about it
So not one turbo or n/a build has the egr??? Is it laziness? pain in the ass to map?
Alright I'll rephrase... can I keep the egr? is it still effective? Or is my car doomed for shite mpg off boost now?
arrgghhhh

the egr only saves you amounts of fuel when the car is cold..the map runs a little richer in warm up mode..and emissions are slightly higher..if it warms up quicker the car comes out of warm up mode and job is done
the car will warm up quicker with a turbo
so if its mapped well youll probs get better mpg off boost..mines mint on juice if im tame with the right foot..
edit-
well mostly anyway
its does still work all the time..but not in any rate worth worrying about..its more for emissions POV then for better mpg..

A lot of high spec builds are obviously built for power not economy lol, and as the egr valve has no use for giving out extra power it's just binned off and forgot about
I don't see any reason why it couldn't be re-fitted again on a high spec build if you really wanted to fit if again, but there's no point really as big builds generally give shit mpg
Edit: beaten to it by a better explanation above

so i could get 8 instead of 6 mpg on full chat lol
my octy does 5.1 aparently on boost...
its one of those things most accept that the mpg will suffer and simply sack it off aswell
also its not an egr as no exhaust gas goes in it (as im sure your allready aware)
