This is the one I'm running. It is pretty loud!
As you can see, it has a separate cat!

Nah, I had no issues at Anglesey last time. I know their quite lenient though as long as the wind is blowing off shore!

Muzizzle, Don't know what power but the same mods on my VTR gave an extra 10bhp so IF the engine is running okay then it "should" be about 130BHP and I've stripped out roughly 90 - 100Kg from the car. I know of a weighbridge on the way to the trackday that I might get on just to check final weight. I'm hoping it'll be around the 800 Kg mark it will give me about 165BHP/ton!!!! lol. Should be plenty for now!
|
Not to put a downer on you alan 800kg is very optimistic
850ish is more where this would be i think 960 is book weight 100kg gone
jps weighed over 800 still with carbon ect his brothers xsi was 815ish with an 8v and bits

Fair enough... My maths wasn't up to spec last night
Still, should be a fair bit quicker than the VTR last time I went to Anglesey

Mine shoud be about 820kg now, I start at a new job tomorrow, they have a lot of weigh bridges, muahhahaha
Alan, get a stanley knife behind the dash, score the sound proofing and it'll rip along the scorelines no bother, an easy 5kg, then get the heat gun on the rear arches and the front footwells, if you want some tardis to get rid of the residue just holla, see my thread for just how good tardis works! the tar weighs a lot of kgs too, then have a big poo too!

Lol, I'll be trying to slim down in the run up to the track day.... Or should i stay my normal weight to add grip!?!?!?!
I'm going to give that a go later tonight i think... And I'm going to try and sell the stuff I've took off the car so far that I don't need. Got the 2 front struts with adjustable shocks in. 2 wishbones, front ARB, The interior has been sold. I need to raise some more funds now for this driveshaft and brakes... unless I just use the ones off the VTR. Might actually be better for now money wise!

I think I have something similar here, if not my mate Rory will have some for sure! Cheers for the offer though... Although it's a long way from Newcastle to Manchester to drop off some cleaning stuff hehehe
Just had a look through your thread too... Looks like i'll be getting the heatgun out (missus hairdrier!) and getting rid of some crap!

I'll bung them in the car and drop them over when I get chance to nip past. The bushes aren't the best but they should be okay.

Anyone think I'll get much for the old struts. top mounts look in very good condition, unbranded springs and adjustable shocks. I was told they were Gmax. Dunno if both springs and shocks are from Gmax. I might try and strip one down and get some photos. Hub bearings are free from play too. Also got a 22mm front ARB with standard bushes. has droplinks on but their a bit loose.

Well. Had a shite day yesterday.
Got home from work to a phone call from a mate to tell me that another of my mates had been killed on his bike! I'd not spoke to the guy for ages, ever since we had a massive row. I'm fucking gutted we never got the chance to patch it all up!
He was a right character with a penchant for self inflicted pain and embarrassment! I lost count the amount of time he pierced his own knob in the pub!!!
The two of us along with a gang of others spent many drunken days, nights and weekends causing chaos in the local rock clubs and biker pubs.
He'll be very sadly missed by more people than I ever imagined. I say this due to having to ring around 20 people myself last night, then finding a pub FULL of old faces when we got their!
Cheers to you Kev. R.I.P.
After last nights pub adventures, I've rang in sick today as my heads banging and I couldn't face customers in the mood I'm in. This does mean however, I am free to try and use the car to take my mind off things again. It seems to be more therapy than a project this thing!!!
I'll try and shake this hangover then get some oil for the gearbox and get this driveshaft. I also need to nip down to collect the last few bits from Rorz so I'll do that too. If i can get the driveshaft on, I can connect up the wishbones etc and get the GB oil in and i'll be happy with that for today.
Fingers crossed that goes okay today. Nothing seems to have gone well over the past week so I need a change of luck!
(Sorry for the sentimental stuff but I can't put anything on FB yet due to inquires by the police etc so this is the only place I can vent without causing trouble!)
