Having fitted a few of them for people I can say that some of them are a bitch to fit, others fine, and can be utter pain to remove in the future.

I'm sure they do 'tighten' up the gearchanges.

Personally, I would rather run the oem shifter rods with a bit of 'play'/rubber in them to try and minimise any damage to synchro rings than mash it into gear. Some peopel swear by them though so they must do something to the gearchange

right, i've finally got all my parts togetherrrr and was just wandering how much you think a garage should charge to do the work...so i dont get mugged off. I understand theres guides on here on how to change the linkages but i am not confident enough to do so.

I need parts 1,2,4,4,5 replacing however my 2 looks different? i will get some pictures.

Basically i would just be paying labour. Any rough ideas?
