Yeah daily driver it will be lol . it shouldn't be too bad, still got the heaters. And a saxo doesn't really have much heat insulation to begin with, an inch or so of wool in the doors and some carpet.

Need to pick up a new grinding wheel tomorrow and then get the grinding done, Then the paint prep. Then prep the underside to replace the under-seal that burnt off during the welding session

All the grinding is done and ready to mask for paint. Pictures wouldn't be of any value. I also gave her a good wash. The first since i got the car lol. Will put up pics a bit later once the car is dry

I decided to crack on with the dash today.
I made up the first top bracket by simply taking some measurements and bending accordingly.
Yes the bends and strange angles in the bends are suppose to be there to mate with the dash well. As you can see the securing surface is tilted more to the left than the dash surface is.
Fitted
I then made up the remaining two brackets and secured them. Then drilled the holes in the dash to match. Then drilled the holes for the extinguisher T pull and the kill switch (which I haven't got to size yet).

Just wired up the kill switch. I'm still in need of another length of battery cable, will order that soon, along with other electrical bits to try and sort out the horrendous Citroen positive terminal.
I secured the resistor onto the loom to the left of the heater.
Then spliced into the ignition circuit

Ok hit a bit of a problem. Just noticed that the dash isn't gonna go back in with the cage in place.
However this is actually for the better i found. To get it in i am going to cut the dash ends off and make brackets up to rivet the 3 parts back together when all is in place. This will allow me to remove the dash out in the future if i need to without making a hash of it.

I would, but it's not the distance between dash and cage back to front. It's the horizontal distance to fit it between the two bars if you get what i mean
