Finally got on it last night. Dare I say it....after all the hype, Im completely underwhelmed. I hoped on the run up to GTA5s release that they do something with the gun aiming mechanic, but its pretty much the same as GTAs of old: its very clunky and makes game modes like survival a total bastard.
I tried some of the other modes and theyre quite good, but given how much everyones gone on about it, the game certainly has its flaws.

I get on really well with the gun control, I'm always the last one standing on a death match. Just have to get used to it I suppose. I know what you mean about the game though, I've not played it since Monday and I don't miss it at all.

See the dilemma I face is that I used to get bored of the older games (granted the latest I played was GTA3) and ended up just messing around.
Is it likely this title is going to change my experience?

I disagree about the aiming mechanics of GTA V. I hated GTA IV but I get along with V a lot better. Try turning off the auto aim.
Between heists, gang missions, repo jobs, races and death matches, there's shed loads to do in the game. Also, you unlock more and more as you level up. There's always something fresh.
Tom, you were an animal with that sniper rifle!

Not really as there's loads still to unlock. By the time you start reaching level 100 or whatever you should be rolling in the money anyway. I just hope they do a few double xp weekends

I've finally been able to get online long enough to earn some money and buy a flat.
Connection can still take forever and I get kicked occasionally even when nobody is in the lobby. But when it works well I can stay on all day.

There are quite a few Saxp members in our crew. Me, Holdawayt, Chr15, P_Connor, ClioSXT, Joe Hindle (I think) and a few others. We're the "Chocolate Teapots" and on almost every night.
If you start from the offline game and go Online > Play GTA > Play with crew then it'll put you in a server with at least one crew member provided there is one online.
