Fob battery changed on Friday at 8pm died today good news I found out the immobiliser is in the key not the fob unlocked the car took fob battery out and tried to start car and it worked,so don't no whether to unlock car on fob change drivers door barrel and just use the key thinking of a cheaper and easier option as it's just a work horse

Lock barell arrived today just read the guide on how to change the lock barell I have central locking will the guide still be the same regardless whether Central locking or not

Ok nice one Gonna have a go in an hour I'm hoping it's gonna be straight forward

Changed the lock on the door but the metal bracket you pull towards the front of the car I pulled it and it moved but then when I unclicked the rod bit the metal plate I first pulled fell off lol so put new lock barrel in but couldn't work out how to get this metal plate back in as there was no screws or anything to hold it in the correct place , I got frustrated so I just super glued the lock to the door on outside and inside , seems to of held it in place and drivers door also locks passenger side and boot which is a bonus

The metal plate from memory slots onto the barrel & holds it in place.So you slide the metal plate loosely onto the barrel,connect the rod.Then gently push/tap the plate into position.
