you can do that but if your putting components in you need to wire them up behind the doorcard to crossocer etc and also its best to sound deadd around the hole and also use an mdf ring to get a good mounting for good sound and no rattles

Talking ICE - Fushion Front Speakers with X-Overs & tweeters

Good job, looks very profressional.

I was looking to replace mine aswel but found a few problems whilst going around it.

I would have to drill new holes for the replacement speakers because they didnt sync in to the original holes. (still havent managed to succeed as the metal is rock solid) might get some1 to install them for me.

also I was wondering if the X-over boxes are worth installing for little extra?

got some tweeters too, but struggling to find a suitable place for them to fit.

there is kick builds but anymore than 13cm you will need to do pods

could cut the door to bits then the doorcard on the back to stop the cone hitting off it bustill th sound will be muffled slightly, plus with the magnet being bigger then the window wont go all the way down

Hi! That was a very good and helpfull thread!
I had recently my Jvc stolen
The #@^$^!@%$ that stole it, cut all the wires which were connected to the iso connector.
I have installed a new one but unfortunatelly the backlight doesn't work

What have i done wrong??? Could someone tell me for sure what does each color of the wires mean?

My new HU has only 3 pins on A connector. (GRND, ignition 12v, battery 12v)

ps 1) Help me plzzzzzz!!!
ps 2)I'm from Greece so forgive my English!!!!

So i have been doing a bit of research about the big 3. On the internet it says that you add to the original grounds, so i guess the original are left in place?

Also that a fuse is required in between the alternator and battery cable when upgrading the cable.

Anyone done this, can anyone confirm this?
