Default anyone got a nintendo wii, need help :)

my sisters just got a nintendo wii for her birthday but typical its not working, its all plugged in ok and we can hear the sound but there is no picture being displayed. anyone else had this problem or is there something weve done wrong or have to do

oh thats not good. Wiggle it at the back of the tv make sure the scart lead is in. Just make sure all the leads are in properly and your on right channel.

yh we have tried it on two tvs now and ive made sure its all plugged in well and correctly

Check that the AV channel is correct. Also check that the cables are in firmly and not out a little bit. If that doesn't work try the troubleshooting pages of the manual. Hope this helps.

plug it in to a av 3plug and ditch the scart adaptor mine was faulty and it worked bought a new one of ebay for a quid.

but try all of above

are all the leads in the right colour on the scart socket not mixed as ud get audio but no picture?

I had this with my brother when i went down he'd used the 3 jack plugs on side of tv but for some reason only gave sound there was another 3 plugs on back tho an they worked fine

gf had this problem so she used the scart adapter and seemed to work fine so im guessing its just a connection for one of the wires thats wrong

How are you connecting, scart?

Could be fudged scart, or component? Make sure they are in the corresponding colour of course, make sure the input to the wii is firmly engaged.

could be cable i bought a componant cable for mine plugged it in sound was fine got picture but all was grey no colour at all

Is it new or second hand?

The yellow wire provides the picture iirc, so does that look damaged?
