best way to remove an engine? - Saxperience

Whats the easiest way to remove a standard 1.1 lump from a saxo? is it a case of putting car on ramps then lowering it down with a engine hoist or taking it up and over? cheers guys

I was told to jack the front end up, undo all bolts;engines mounts etc. and drop out through the bottom on an engine crane.

remove the front panel and bumper and it just slides out once all bolts are undone

i take the front end off and pull it out with a engine crane.

never dropped one out the bottom before.

get the car jacked up remove the bonnet undo battery radiator matifolds undo the engine mounts once you have the engien crane attached obviosuly having rmeoved the driveshafts or the wheel hubs and drop the lot much quicker than fannying with the gearbiox bolts in car turst me
