I have to admit I'm with Andy on this one.
Not a fan of forced induction.
I have to admit, I've had a noticeable reduction in mpg since I put my car on carbs but it was worth it

how can that be be , its the way backwards,
when to build a fully specced n/a car ,which will give its large power (200) over very short rpm band and at very high rpm ,never pass an mot ,when with even light boost you can have that 200 over larger range of rpm and have a car that will give good mpg ,good emissions and be civilised to drive every day .
and once you have made the jump to s/c it costs small amounts extra to lift the bhp to what ever you you want ,as all the main costs are the same whether you go for 200-350
It costs more to tune to very high spec the n/a route --to get 200with n/a you need cams .solid lifters large vlaves srpings+caps +big head job +forged psitons+rods--so theres the price of mostthe s/c kit--you get 200 @wheels(230-240@fly) with std cams + 7psi+thicker h/gasket
you still need ecu system with either + large injectors+ dif clutch + engine mtgs + a GOOD 4-1 ex manifold --so the actual dif in price is very littleand results are totally different.
so once you go past the 160 -bhp fast road conversion you need to look closely at true costs before making statements about "bang per buck" .
my advice is always start with ecu system and mild cams --then you still can decide which way to go later ,whilst getting best from what you can afford .

Dude man, I was just joking! As stated I know boost is better alround man.
It just a joke.
It still cheating in a way using mechical proresses instead of natural processes, but all I was doing it just messing around that all man, I put got to agree throttle bodies noise is the best
Think you read to much in to my little joke man. That all.

Northampton motor sports in in northampton, unsure where pug1off is based, but Northampton motor sport map all pug1off cars, maybe worth contacting them to see if they could do a better price, they would used a omex system, and most likly root the loom and ecu inside the car inside of out side.

n/a or boost? having watched itb'd vts' on track (including your own andy) and then driving and watching the boosted ones on track, i don't think i would ever even consider itb's.

i was messing around really man, i am just a more of the n/a way, i know boost is better for overall power spread, as most n/a cars the power will be at the higher rpm, and will peak for a short time unlike boost.
it was just a joke more than eventhing, still throttle make a better noise

Carbs are a big backwards step and not as efficient as injection tuning
