It was in fact a whisk on a dog lead with wire wool inside. Touch it with a 9v battery and it ignites. Use the dog lead to spin it around myself.
I was about 10 feet away from the car so the sparks didn't even get near it.
One last one...

New parts ordered!
Ordered a set of legal pressed plates for the second time (Cancelled last time due to buying teddies)
Ordered a new front bumper (Number plate recess is being smoothed)
Ordered some random chains that I plan on hanging the front number plate from.
I love pay day!

I'm quite often around at the NCP car park by the train station. Don't even talk to me about speed humps! I live on Sincil Bank and it's a fricking nightmare! Got the thing stuck on the speed hump into Tesco the other night

No idea exactly how low it is but the subframe is an inch off the floor. Go back a few pages and you'll see the photos.
I now work at the Waterside Shopping center so it spends an awful lot of time in town now.
*edit*
Chr15 is viewing the thread now... I'm awaiting a cocky comment... lol

Little update.
Car is booked in at the bodyshop for Friday. Front bumper is being smoothed of the number plate recess. Number plate will be hanging on chains from behind the bumper itself.
Lifted the car up properly today and thought i'd inspect the damage so far..
^ Chassis notch definitely required I think. No visible damage to the driveshaft though oddly.
^ Rear subframe mount is obviously being caught quite alot.
^ Also looks to be scraping an awful lot.
^ Splitter takes a serious hammering to be honest...
I'll update with the front bumper on Saturday!
