I've never had a problem with chrome. I have lots of problems posting in the correct section though, and it seems you do too
In what way could you not uninstall it?
Have you tried deleting the installer and downloading it again?

Does it still show up as a program in the control panel even though you have deleted the files?

How odd.
When it gives you the error, does it give an error code?

That's really helpful of them
Try turning pc off and on again. Make sure you have deleted ALL relevant google chrome files. Do a search for them in the computer and then try installing it again?
If it doesn't work then, burn it

I liked the speed of Chrome compared to Firefox but little things with chrome irritate me, like on Firefox you can right click on an image and set it to your Desktop but you cannot do the same with Crome.

How long ago did you install it?
If you havent installed many other programs since chrome, do a system restore to before you installed chrome.
Then install chrome and any other programs that got removed.

Got Chrome on all my PC's, but starting to lean towards using the IE9 Beta now, it's pretty damn good compared to previous versions, even for a beta!
P.S Try a registry cleaner and get rid of all of the Chrome related keys.
