Default Which protein?

Im close to running out of protein and on the look out for a new one. Im on abit of a tight budget though. I am after gaining size but also i want to lose my bit of belly although it has gone down in size abit, id just like to get it flat lol. I have just been on some CNP mass gainer and before then usn anabolic fuel and diet stuff. Thinking of just getting some whey with added supplements in?

Been looking at these-

Personally I'd go for a basic whey, like the protein works impact whey.

Get as much protein from food as possible. Adding oats, peanut butter, fruit, olive oil etc to a protein shake is a great way of creating your own mass gainer.

personally I wouldn't put any unnatural product in my body.
plenty of water and a healthy diet ( up to you if you eat meat/flesh )
Running/Swimming/ are great for burning fat i.e loosing weight off the body (belly) along with drinking lots of water when you feel "hungry"
gaining size in muscles, follow a strict plan and stick to it 100% compound exercises really do a lot for muscles, play a part in releasing testosterone which is really what makes muscle.
Just work on the muscles groups you want and eat a bit more.
But all this protein powder etc cant be good for you regardless of "gains" natural gains are wheyyyy better haha "whey" get it

I have used many online companies, and bodybuilding warehouse are leagues ahead.

Started using them about a year ago and never had an issue, I use bulk powders for the likes of dextrose, amino acids etc. but for any whey protein etc. Bodybuilding warehouse are miles ahead imo.

Taste great, great quality, well packaged and priced.

Personally using the following from their range.

- Performance Protein
- Performance Diet Whey
- Protein Pancakes
- Protein Coffee
- Protein Mousse

I tend to wait until around the 28th of the month to place my order as they do a payday code which gives 20% off, makes it cheaper than any competition and there loads better imo.

If you're looking for for whey protein have a look at Reflex instant whey

I've tried numerous different brands, and this one is brilliant for lean muscle gains! As you can see it's low on carbs and fat content which when dieting comes in handy if you still want to maintain a high protein intake!

Reflex stuff is overpriced imo, most brands are nowadays.

90 servings at 20g of protein per serving for just under £50 is pretty poor imo.

Bodybuilding Warehouse Performance Protein V2

4KG £39.95 (Buy it on payday and get 20% off)

88 Servings @ 30.1g Protein.

Not only that but it's high quality and each serving has

5g Micronised Creatine Monohydrate
3g Taurine
2g Lysine
1g Glycine

It's a brilliant well balanced protein that you can fit into pretty much any macros you want and I honestly feel the benefits of it in comparison to other 'well known' brands.

I'm not bashing, I just honestly hate companies that rip off people with a very average protein blend.

OR

If you are really after a protein blend to support a cut...

Bodybuilding Warehouse Performance Diet Whey

4kg £49.99

133 servings of 22.5g protein.

The protein blend contains the following which all support fat loss, and save buying additional supplements....

Glutamine Peptides - 1500mg
CLA (Conjugated Linoic Acid) - 200mg
Acai Berry Extract - 100mg
Green Tea Extract - 100mg
Raspberry Ketones - 100mg

I also swear by this when cutting for summer, it's not watery as you'd expect for a low calorie shake either it's fairly nice.

I agree with you on the price side of things! Hadn't actually noticed how much it bloody was, I bought it on offer at a local supplement store for £30!
I know it's far from the best out there, but was just going for more of the simple protein - fat/carb content.
I do love bodybuilding warehouse though, so much variety and they'll have pretty much whatever your needs desire, be it weight gain/weight loss/strength etc

Yeah wasn't bashing dude, a friend swears by reflex can't get him off the stuff and in fairness he isn't in bad shape.

£30 isn't a bad price though, just makes me laugh how some retailers price the RRP at over £80 and put it on a sale price of £50 and people go mad for it.

Ahh it's fine buddy, I suppose I'm in the same boat as I've stuck with it for 3 tubs now, might go for a change soon!

It's the whole 'marketing' scheme, as soon as people see what they've been told they're saving, boom it's a bargain..

I find reflex stuff really gritty, hard to say what protein actually gives good lean muscle really though as so many other factors involved.

I'd say it's more down to personal preference, and what products you have confidence with.

I rate gaspari, bsn and musclepharm products highly others might not.

True, it might just be that I'm a fucking machine with awesome genetics.
I love bsn also, can't remember what protein I had two years back but for bulking it was top notch! Also the preworkout bsn Xplode does absolute wonders!

Best I've used for bulking was the old gaspari real mass, the one before this pro biotic stuff. Not cheap but a very good product.

Everything I've ever tried by either of the 3 mentioned companies I've felt have done something, a lot of it most prob all in my mind.

Now a days I'd rather invest more into my food than supplements.

Agree with this, no single protein supplement has ever really given me lean gains that a diet couldn't have done in the first place.

Whey protein only makes it easier for me to hit my macros and not be eating a stupid amount of meals throughout the day at work.

If you want noticeable lean gains from a 'supplement' it's usually not legal.

That's the main issue with a lot of the best ones, they all come with a big price tag. Much prefer to pay big bucks for the right product, than two half decent ones mind for cheap mind.

That's a problem too haha, you'll start seeing results and just assume straight away the product you're currently taking does wonders, when more than likely it's the fact you're doing a lot of training, and your diet is good
