Twin Lambda Vtr

Anyone running a 4-2-1 or 4-1 manifold with a twin lambda vtr and unable to run the top lambda sensor?

Fit the pre-cat lambda into the manifold and leave the second lambda out of the exhaust system and fit a sleeve to it. Will stop the engine light coming on.

Which manifold are you fitting?

as above i fitted the green plugged sensor to the manifold, (may need to route down back of the engine for it to reach depending where the hole in manifold is)

and just put the blue plugged one in a plastic bag or a sleeve over it to protect it so it can read clean air and your EML should not come on.

I thought the lambdas heat up themselfs? wouldnt be wise sticking in a plastic bag. I'd put a metal sleeve over it

never hand any dramas on my old vtr with it in a plastic bag.
didnt think they heat them selves up?

its just that exhaust that gets hot, and as its not in the exhaust shouldnt be a problem?

Some Lambda sensors have heater elements within them so that the sensor heats up quicker so the car ECU can go into closed loop faster
