Default Wideband air fuel

What's the deal with these wideband air fuel meters?

Do you have it fitted all the time to keep an eye on the air fuel ratio or different?

Had a wee look on YouTube,do you have to drill a hole in the exhaust system, tap it and fit it this way?

If your on aftermarket management then use the same hole and wire the output of the gauge to the ecu and then setup but if your on std management then drill another hole and weld another boss in

Generally they are a nice guide to see whether there is an issue but are not very accurate.
